NEW DELHI: AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal today launched 'Revdi Par Charcha'. The 'Revdi Par Charcha' campaign, launched by Kejriwal, is to discuss free services from his government in the national capital, ahead of the Delhi Assembly polls scheduled to be held in February.
Kejriwal announced that AAP workers would hold 65,000 meetings across Delhi, letting the people know of such freebies: electricity, water, health care, education, bus rides for ladies and pilgrimage for elderly persons. The pamphlets containing these benefits are termed as 'revdis'.
"Our workers will hold 65,000 meetings across Delhi to make people understand what these free facilities mean and how only AAP can provide these," Kejriwal said. Kejriwal also announced plans for a monthly Rs 1,000 assistance for women in Delhi, which he called another 'revdi.'
AAP leader alleged that the BJP was interested in putting a check on such free services. "The BJP is in power in 20 states and not even in a single state do they provide any of these free 'revdis'. This is because they don't have the intention; only AAP knows how to provide these facilities," he alleged.
Kejriwal said AAP workers would question the voters on how the BJP "contributed" to Delhi in the past 10 years, insisting "the national capital is a half-state and the central government has as much powers as we do".
He also claimed that the BJP "killed" the last 10 years of the AAP government's development projects in the national capital.
