Allu Arjun Interrogated by Police in Sandhya Theater Stampede Case, Actor Responds to ACP Allegations

Hyderabad (Telangana) :  Hyderabad Police questioned Allu Arjun, the famous actor from "Pushpa 2," on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, regarding the tragic stampede that occurred at Sandhya Theater during the premiere of his film. The incident, which took place on December 4, led to the death of a 35-year-old woman. During the questioning, Allu Arjun was accompanied by his father, Allu Aravind, at the Chikkadpally Police Station.

The actor answered all questions posed by the Investigating Officer (IO) in the presence of his lawyer. The prosecution's lawyer was also present during the session, although only as an observer. The police asked him whether he was aware that the event did not have proper police permission and why he proceeded with the event and roadshow without authorization.

Allu Arjun’s Responses to the Police Questions

When asked whether he knew about the death of Revathi, the woman who died in the stampede, Allu Arjun responded, “Yes, I found out the next day.” He was also asked whether any senior police officers like the ACP and DCP had met him at the auditorium. Allu Arjun firmly denied this, stating, "Neither of them met me, and they spread false information about me in the media." He emphasized that the death was an unfortunate accident and that, as an actor, he should not be held responsible for it.

Earlier, Allu Arjun had received a notice from the police to appear for questioning in connection with the stampede investigation. He was instructed to appear at 11 AM on December 24. The actor had previously stated that he would cooperate fully with the investigation.

CCTV Footage from the Incident Released

During the questioning, CCTV footage from the theater emerged, showing a chaotic scene inside the venue. Despite efforts by security staff to control the crowd and prevent people from entering improperly, a large number of people pushed their way inside. In one part of the footage, a man is seen attempting to stop the crowd with a wooden stick, but the people continue to shove him aside.

This footage further adds to the investigation of the stampede, which has become a significant case in Hyderabad.
