NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met UK PM Keir Starmer on Monday night during the G20 Summit in Brazil. He discussed cooperation with him in the fields of technology, green energy, security, and innovation.
"Had a highly productive meeting with Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Rio de Janeiro. For India, the comprehensive strategic partnership with the UK is of high priority. In the years to come, we look forward to closely working on areas like technology, green energy, security, innovation, and technology. We also want to add strength to trade as well as cultural linkages," PM Modi posted on X.
Modi held meetings with leaders of many countries on the very first day of the G20 Summit. He met France, Italy, Norway, Portugal, and Indonesia leaders.
When they were deliberating about social programs, PM Modi expressed his commitment to "end poverty and hunger" in India. He also voiced his agreement with Brazil's proposition to establish a global alliance for this cause.
